A seasoned SaaS executive with more than 25 years of experience, Brown has led technology organizations through hypergrowth, major transformations, and AI-driven product innovation. His leadership at Udemy, where he helped scale the company into a $750M+ enterprise learning platform, along with prior roles at Reflektive, Blackhawk Network, Achievers, and WebEx, positions him to guide the newly combined organization into its next era of strategic expansion.
In March 2026, the company will debut its new brand, Illumia, uniting formerly separate Transact and CBORD teams under a single identity and innovation strategy. The Illumia name reflects a commitment to bringing clarity, intelligence, and meaningful impact to every experience the company powers: from campus access and dining to patient care and tuition payments. The full brand identity will be unveiled at the 2026 annual conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.

When will the name change take effect?
The name Illumia was announced December 3, 2025, with the full rebrand, including new visual identity and digital platforms, to be revealed in the first half of 2026.
What does this mean for current Transact + CBORD clients?
There will be no disruption to your products, services, or support. You’ll continue working with the same account teams. Over time, you’ll see gradual updates to our branding, communications, and digital experiences, all designed to improve consistency and clarity.
Will the Horizon Software name change as part of the rebranding?
No, Horizon will maintain its current name and branding moving forward. We will continue to operate under the Horizon brand, which is well-established and trusted by our K-12 clients.
What does the Illumia brand represent for the future?

Will the products or platforms I use change?
No immediate changes will occur. You’ll continue using the platforms you rely on today. Over time, you’ll see enhancements and more unified experiences across our solutions.
Will partner integrations with our products change?
We have no immediate plans to change partner integrations. If changes occur in the future, we will notify partners, clients, and employees in advance.
What will happen to URLs and portals like commerce.cashnet.com, transactcampus.com, and cbord.com?
All URLs will eventually transition to illumiatech.com—but over an extended period. You’ll be provided with ample notice should any changes occur that impact operations.
Will there be changes to customer support?
No. Your support team remains the same. Clients will continue receiving the same level of dedicated service and access to technical support throughout and after the rebrand.
Will there be a change to my billing schedule or process?
No immediate changes will occur. Billing contacts, processes, and procedures remain intact. Any changes will be communicated to clients with plenty of advance notice.
